Mucho gusto

I’m Jesús Bernardo González López de Grande.
Yes, my name makes baristas very confused.
So just call me Bernardo.

Next to my very long name is 10+ years of experience spanning two countries, three cities, and three markets.

I started my career in Mexico City before moving to Los Angeles to join Saatchi & Saatchi, where I helped create some of Toyota’s most memorable work—including the largest user-generated campaign in the history of the brand in the U.S.

Then I realized sunlight was overrated and moved to New York City to join Droga5, where I made some very dumb work with very smart people. That includes campaigns for Dos Equis, Molson Coors, Petco, and Twizzlers—as well as the pitch that won us Coors Light and drove a 25% growth in the Molson Coors account.

Some of my work has picked up recognition at Cannes, The One Show, Clios, El Sol and New York Festivals.
I’ve also been fortunate to speak and judge at festivals around the world—taking me to places like Korea, Latvia, Bulgaria, and Georgia (the country, not the state).

I’ve also spent time teaching and mentoring—two years with D5in10, a Droga5 initiative for aspiring creatives from non-traditional backgrounds, and guest lecturing at VCU Brandcenter.

Most recently, I joined Amazon’s Global Marketing Team as Creative Director. More fun stuff is coming soon!
